The theater had flood protection after Tropical Storm Allison in 2001, but Hurricane Harvey still flooded its basement with 17 feet of water. Walter P Moore was called to assess vulnerabilities. The project was challenging due to the theater's location in downtown Houston and its architectural constraints. The team developed creative flood protection solutions that preserved the building's integrity and functionality.
